From seed to fruit: From humble origins, Danilo's parents, Jairo and Paula, worked as gas station attendants but dreamed of something better. They worked and saved, eventually buying a place and becoming gas station owners. Over time, a coffee farmer friend cultivated in Jario and Paula an intergenerational collective dream that lay dormant deep inside. This dream grew and grew until one day, they just did it, leaving everything they knew. They sold the gas station and invested the money in their first property, officially venturing into the agricultural industry. Although by no means the usual trajectory into the world of specialty coffee, there are qualities that underpin everything they do: determination, commitment, work ethic and a drive that leaves no surprise that their son Danilo now oversees a thriving business with over 2000 hectares of coffee farm and an environmental preservation zone (not to mention a COE winner!).

Embracing Roots and Success: In 1980, Danilo and his father planted their first coffee trees, beginning their agricultural journey. Over the years, the Barbosa Family expanded their holdings to their current size of over 2,000 hectares, with a significant portion dedicated to environmental preservation. Their journey ultimately led them to acquire their cherished Cachoeira Farm, a place of sentimental significance, a farm Danilo's grandparents once owned and where his mother was born. In what almost seems too poetic to be accurate, Danilo cemented his and his family's legacy, winning the Cup of Excellence in 2021 with a coffee from Cachoeira.

Innovation and Sustainable Practices: Cachoeira Farm's success stems from its relentless pursuit of innovation and commitment to quality. Understanding the importance of terroir and environmental factors, Danilo ensures that every aspect of coffee production is meticulously considered. Sustainable initiatives like tree planting and beekeeping are integral to the farm's strategy, aligning environmental stewardship with quality coffee production.

Elevating Quality Standards: Quality and innovation go hand in hand at Cachoeira Farm. Investments in fermentation techniques and natural yeasts set new industry standards. Modern machines enhance nutrient delivery, nurturing optimal coffee growth and flavour. Supported by a dedicated team led by Deyvid Leandro, the farm maintains stringent quality control measures to ensure that each batch meets the highest standards.
