“Fai Mai” in Lao, means ‘Fire Mountain’. This volcanic mountain is located on the estate and provides rich soil and shadowing for the coffee plants.
It’s not very often we come across coffees from Laos, especially of this character. When we were cupping this on the table selecting our new offerings, this particular cupping bowl was left dry, out of pleasure, curiousity, or perhaps both.
It’s exciting to be able to offer unique coffees like this from origins such as Laos, we hope you enjoy it.

As this coffee is a low density we use a smaller ratio than we usually would, as it’s very soluble and easy to extract.
