In 1958, Jorge Vides, bought a piece of land surrounded by forests in La Libertad, HUehuetenango and founded Finca La Bolsa coffee farm. Finca La Bolsa was first planted with burbon and caturra varieties. The family now own multiple coffee farms that produce exceptional coffee.
El RIncon is one of many farms owned by the Vides family, the third generation of passionate coffee producers. Maria Vides is the current general manager. With commitment to sustainability, the Vides family integrate environmentally friendly practises while socially supporting local communities by building a school for local children and providing sustainable agronomy knowledge.
